Dareesoft Attracts 5.5 Billion Investments in Series A

Expanding into the domestic and global market through Real-time Road Hazard Information Service (RiaaS) -


Dareesoft, which developed the AI-based real-time road hazard information service ‘RiaaS(Road hazard information as a Service)’, announced on November 25th that it had completed attracting a total of 5.5 billion won in Series A investment. 


With this investment, Dareesoft’s corporate will be valued at a total of 30.5 billion won. SBI Investment, E&Venture Partners, DA Value Investment, and Evergreen Investment Partners participated in Series A as investors. 


Dareesoft's cumulative investment exceeded 6.8 billion won with the Series A investment. Despite start-up investment slowing down due to economic recession in Korea and abroad, Dareesoft has secured the Series A investment - proving that it was recognized for its competitiveness and unique marketability. 


“With this investment as an opportunity, we will intensively invest in R&D to provide the best service and actively advance into overseas markets to implement global services that contribute to improving the safety of all roads around the world,” said Jeong and Row.  


Dareesoft plans to establish Dareesoft USA in January 2023 to accelerate overseas advancement and marketing. At the same time, Dareesoft aims to improve its service by recruiting excellent R&D personnel, expanding service platforms by country, developing domain-specific models, and expanding AI modeling infrastructure. Through this, Dareesoft plans to enter the global market by participating in international exhibitions such as CES 2023 and City-Tech. Tokyo 2023. 


The two-channel AI road analyzer currently being produced will continue to improve its performance and focus on continuous R&D for various additional features so that it can grow into a world-leading terminal in the industry.  


Dareesoft’s core service, “RiaaS” uses AI Road Analyzer equipped with an AI model to detect potholes, road cracks, and poor road markings. It detects a total of 12 road hazards such as falling objects, trashes, road kills, and banners obstructing the driver's gaze and includes driver assistance functions such as a drowsiness prevention sensor and emergency call feature. The detected hazard information is then transmitted to the control system after a detailed secondary analysis on the cloud-based server, and the road hazard information shared in real-time is used for hazard warning and road maintenance. 


Currently, Dareesoft collaborates with local governments' smart city projects, road management departments, and road-related public institutions, as well as automobile manufacturers, vehicle navigation/mapping system companies, and insurance companies to effectively utilize RiaaS and improve its functions and services.
