LionRocket

Hongmo Je, former CTO of STRADVISION joins LionRocket as CRO

LionRocket, an AI startup aiming to shift the paradigm in the content market through generative AI, brings on board Hongmo Je as Chief Research Officer.

Hongmo Je, LionRocket’s new CRO, graduated from POSTECH with a master’s degree in computer science & engineering and completed a doctorate in machine learning based computer vision. He has been making noticeable achievements in the field of AI-based computer vision throughout his 20-year career.

As an early member of Olaworks, a computer vision startup, he was the head of AI research team from 2009. After Olaworks was acquired by Intel in 2021, he worked as software engineering director in Intel Imaging and Camera Technologies Group. In 2015, he joined STRADVISION as CTO and oversaw object recognition related AI technology for self-driving cars.

LionRocket plans to take its technology to the next level with the join of Je. Their main goal is to develop AI generation and conversion, which are the core technologies for VeryMe, LionRocket’s virtual face creation app, to the level of global excellence. They hope to maximize the performance for data optimization and compression, stepping closer to providing the best possible environment for virtual live streaming service.

Global expansion is also their main priority. Starting from 2023, they plan to expand into the global market with their upcoming products and services.

“While generative AI models are receiving lots of attention these days throughout the world, there hasn’t been any exceptional service based on that technology. I look forward to launching innovative service and take our technology to the next level in LionRocket,” said Je.

“We are excited to welcome such a distinguished professional like Je, who has achieved so much in the competitive global market. Je’s experience and expertise will help us realize service commercialization in the AI market,” added Seung Hwan Jeong, found and CEO of LionRocket.
